Danie is ranch raised and has been corraled with cows for a few days, and has been wintered several weeks with young bulls, so he's learned how to watch out for himself and how to manage himself with being around cattle. He's summer pasture is a ranch/cattle type of pasture with barbwire fencing, so he is also familar with that type of fencing.
A full brother to Danie's sire was a very successful cutting horse in All-Breed and Arabian competition. He was especially competative against Quarter Horses.
Danie is registered as a half Arabian, but in reality he is 23/32 Arabian, 1/4 Spanish Mustang, and 1/32 Quarter Horse. He has about 5 lines to *Witez II. He is halter broke, and has had foal imprint training, and his hooves have been trimmed regularly. During the lat fall, winter and early spring months, Danie is caught and haltered daily, and tied to a hitch rail at feeding time. He was stake out broke spring of 2007 and spent most days staked out on grass grazing during May and also in last fall.
2008 vaccinations: Rabies March 4th. West Nile, E W sleeping sickness, tetanus March 24th.
This winter Danie is caught, haltered and handled daily, getting some despook training and has had a saddle on his back several times. He is also grown a lot since the fall pictures, more filled out and looking more like an adult horse.
